If you enjoyed seeing Phantom of the Opera at the theatre, go see the movie. If you didn't enjoy Phantom live, then skip it.

We really enjoyed it. Not all the critics agreed with us, but I think that most POTO fans will enjoy the film version. The sets, costumes, and actors are pleasing to the eye, while the music is quite beautiful.

I agree with another reviewer who said that for maximum enjoyment it is best to keep Michael Crawford out of your mind. That being said, Gerard Butler was convincing in voice and style as the Phantom.
