My bad...
...but I was too bummed out to post the sad news: I did not get the job. I found out on Friday and was just too sad about the whole situation to write an update. But not all the news is bad.
One of the application development managers was kind enough to give me three other leads; he even took the time to make a couple of phone calls on my behalf. I've been in touch with the leads; they all have my resume, and I hope that this will generate some interviews/offers once I am in Florida.
In the meantime my mother has offered to let us stay at her place. We think it would be pretty tough on all of us if Mark were down in Florida alone, so we are taking her up on her offer. Mark's parents were kind enough to commit to keeping Kirby until we have room for her. We will meet them just west of St. Louis.
As soon as I find a job (or as soon as we have a buyer for this house) we will rent something more spacious; once the house is sold AND I am working, we will buy a new home.
We will be leaving Kansas the morning of March 29.
