We are here!

Our little Kansas caravan (two cars, two cats, one eight year-old plus the two of us) arrived in Florida last Thursday. Kirby is with Norma and Dick in Ohio, and we are all in Mom's condo for now. We felt it was important to move down together so that I could be job hunting.

Miss Kyla is going to a Lutheran day school (yes, she even wears a uniform!) and Mark is getting settled into the new church. Our first Sunday the choir performed the Easter sections of Handel's Messiah, and we celebrated my birthday...number forty-three. What a nice gift!

Yesterday we met a lovely British family from Kent at the beach near Pass-a-Grille. They were at the tail end of their vacation, heading back to Washington and to a flight home. Their eight year-old daughter Nichola played with Kyla in the surf...a very nice end to a long day of school. How terrific that we can bring Kyla to the beach to unwind after classes! Once I'm at the other computer I'll post a picture of Kyla, Nichola (I hope I spelled that correctly), and her mother Connie.

There are open houses scheduled the next two weeks back in Kansas...ah, if we could just get that house sold.
