My latest interest (OK, Mark might call it "obsession") is podcasting. I don't have an iPod, but my Treo 650 plays mp3 files. I've found podcasts on just about every conceivable subject. My favorite right now is The Word Nerds. I also download music from Salon, where I've been a member for the last year and a half.
Yes, we survived VBS and had more fun than expected. This year's program was the Circle G Ranch, from Cokesbury. We liked the music so much that we ordered our own CD for Kyla. The lessons drove me a bit nuts, though.
I've also learned that I am really NOT cut out to teach children, at least not the youngest ones. I prefer the older kids, as they ask more challenging questions and can sit still to listen.
