Jinx!

Well, the interview went well but the director called two days later to say that although my resume was very impressive, my skills and experience were probably better suited for something within the Finance group.

This week is VBS (a.k.a. Really, Really Tired Week) at the church. I call it Hell Week because VBS seems to take over everything else and leave me exhausted throughout the five days. I swore I would never teach VBS again, but one of the teachers had to withdraw at the last minute and I felt obligated. Note to self: don't even think about it next year. I really prefer doing the brainless stuff, like making snacks.

Kyla was totally surprised when she came home last Friday and found Kirby waiting for her at home. Our pup seemed no worse for the wear--Continental did a great job. Kirby has mellowed out a bit since we last saw her at the end of March, although she still has the bad habit of trying to steal Kyla's socks. Kirby has been sleeping at our feet every night since she came home--and we also took Tattoo back to live with Mom after 2 1/2 years. Mom is thrilled to have her home; she even bought one of those automatic kitty litter boxes to make things easier.
